I never think to do a personalized gifts guide in time for you all to actually order items and get them in time for Christmas or Hanukkah, so it popped in my head and I decided I needed to do it now. The Christmas spirit hit when I walked thru Target today and as you can expect, it’s holiday overload already.
I have always been a sucker for personalized gifts- it just feels a little more special than your typical present. This list was easy this year. A few of things have been featured before, but they’re just too good to leave off for my new readers. Ok, let’s shop.
This is probably my new favorite find, she is local to St. Louis and reached out over Instagram. I now think I need a pennant for every room of our house- ha! An adorable gift for a newborn or a 5 year old. Pick colors to match their room and call it a day!
Pennants are usually ready to ship within a week, but order early in case Christmas gets backed up.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this jacket for kids 3 and under. It’s thick enough to replace a coat for a baby (with layers), it’s kimono style with velcro so getting it on and off is a breeze, the hood has elastic around the face to stay put and you can size up and get a couple years out of it. I ordered both of the boy’s on Amazon for their second winters (13 months & 15 months). Just take it to a local embroidery shop and it shouldn’t be more than $15 to add a monogram. Unless you have your heart set on a color,I recommend the gray. It doesn’t show dirt like a lighter color or slobber/drool/spitup like a darker color.
We don’t frequent the library too much, but with the cold weather coming it will be a weekly stop. A cute tote bag makes it even more fun for a kiddo to pick their special books and carry them around. I ordered this one for Frank to put under the tree. I also think you can let them choose books you own and load them up for car rides or church.
A girlfriend of mine sent this site to me awhile back and I keep revisiting for gifts. This year they added the option of personalizing the back of the hat so I bought one for Frank’s buddy! They are actual kid hats so they will fit them and the colors are classic and easy.
We had these labels for Frank’s bottles when he went to daycare, but because they stretched, I started using them for his water cups for preschool. You can pick any cup really within reason. Our kids camelback and the Contigo Straw Cup both work so anything in that range would be perfect. This can be a $20-25 gift that will get tons of use!
Frank is in to making muffins. Actually he’s in to stirring for a second and then letting me make muffins, but he has been spending a lot of time in the kitchen. I told my mom to buy him the reusable silicone muffin cups and an apron for Christmas. You could really pair this with all kinds of kitchen things! There are a bunch of options on Etsy, but this shop stood out to me.
I saw these last year at a local holiday event and fell in love with them. They aren’t on the Gin & Kin website, but you can order by calling or contact them on Instagram (there’s lots of goodies on IG that aren’t on their site).
I hope you love all of these personalized gifts! Stay tuned next year for more!
